Officials from Marmaris, Turkey, at the Romanian Tourism Fair

After 2 years of pandemic, the organization of the Romanian Tourism Fair was resumed, at Romexpo. The spring edition was smaller, the exhibition space being concentrated in Pavilion B2, but this did not influence the quality of the offers, which were for all budgets.

A delegation composed of officials from Marmaris, Turkey, was present at the Romanian Tourism Fair. The mayor of Marmaris, Mr. Mehmet Oktay, accompanied by local councilor Ali Kirli, who is also the head of the Marmaris Tourism Commission, Mr. Ceyhan Eroglu, the manager of the Aquarium hotel chain and Mr. Deniz Kapani, Tour Manager of the agency, MTS had talks with the big players on the national tourism market, present at the fair.

I was glad and I honored the invitation of the Marmaris officials to meet at the Tourism Fair in Bucharest, thus having the opportunity to find out that the Marmaris hoteliers are almost ready with the preparations for the opening of this season which will take place in early April and  that the municipality did important works to make Marmaris look great.

Turkish officials are expecting more tourists from Romania, this year, a decisive role being played by the tour operators, so the discussion with the general manager of Karpaten Tourism, Mr. Alexandru Marginean, was very important. The meeting took place in the imposing Karpaten Tourism stand, the most important in the fair, both in size and complexity.

Marmaris is the place I visit every year since 2017, a charming port city, located in Mugla province in southwestern Turkey.

Marmaris is also considered the largest natural harbor in the world, representing the meeting point between the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, today being one of the most popular resorts in Turkey.

You will find on the site also video & articles that I made in the last 2 years for Marmaris hotels, of which my recommendation for 2022 is the two hotels in Marmaris of the Grand Yazici chain, Grand Yazici Club Turban Termal and Grannd Yazici, Marmaris Palace. Check them here:
